My Favourite Podcasts
Posted on May 19, 2014 by Mike Nuttall
Since I bought an iPad last year I have really got into listening to podcasts.
It's something you can do while you are doing other things, like housework or cooking of doing the dishes. That's my preferred method though others like to listen to them while they are out for a run or driving.
It's also nice to be able to listen to stuff when you want to instead of having to wait for it to be broadcast in a schedule.
There's loads of stuff out there, and I've hardly scratched the surface but these are 4 podcasts I currently subscribe to.
The Guardian Science Weekly: Intelligent discussion about the latest developments in science. (Though I haven't heard anything new for a while)
More or Less: Behind the Stats: A Radio 4 production with Tim Hartford looking at how numbers and statistics are used and abused in the media.
Ask Pat.com: A short show where a member of the public ask Pat Flynn a question and he gives his advice. Pat Flynn has built up several very successful on-line businesses from scratch, and he is very much into sharing his knowledge.
Entrepreneur On Fire: John Lee Dumas asks successful entrepreneurs the same set of probing questions every week. He tries to get as many tricks and tips out of them to help his listeners make progress with their business ambitions.
What podcasts are you listening to?
A website operatives times and duties
What has occupied me today:
8 hours 21 minutes | The project that never ends.... |
36 minute | Social media products and their digressions |
1 hour 3 minutes | Onsitenow website blog and tweaks |
4 minutes |
Total: 10 hours 43 minutes
Another frustrating today with lots of road blocks and niggles, but progress was made, if not as quickly as anticipated.
Exercise: 40 minutes gardening and a 2 mile run. I have a new rule: maximum time allowed for gardening 30 minutes. Then I shouldn't get bored and I should be motivated to get as much done as quickly as possible.
Tomorrow: Same goals as yesterday, I just hope I can complete them!
