A Minimum Viable Blog?

36th day of the epic 100 posts in 100 days challenge

Random daily thoughts of a web developer

This is not sustainable!

Writing an in depth journal entry every day unless you have all day to do it. I don't have all day, I have other things to do, like work that gets me paid!

Who's idea was this anyway?

From now on I will be completing only a Minimum Viable Blog.

What's a Minimum Viable Blog?

It's a blog that will consist of enough sentences to stop the table below bumping up to the 100 blog posts in 100 days graphic.

And I will continue to report back on what has occupied my day.

This approach does, however, risk getting penalties from Google's algorithm as my posts may look like thin content*

What the hell, lets live dangerously!

*Thin content: pages that are shallow, without much useful information, and don't offer much value to readers.

A web developer's lot.

What have I been doing today?

6 hours 18 minutes A personal project with lots of jQuery
1 hour 16 minute This website, reading blog posts, obsessively checking rankings, updating blog posts
1 hour 1 minute Email and social media

Total: 8 hours 35 minutes

Made quite good progress with my project, but found it a little hard to concentrate at times.

Exercise: None, oh dear!

Tomorrow: Batch writing blog posts to get ahead of the game.
